I have severe ear pain on the left side, only at night, that is continuously waking me up. there's also a slight ache during the day sometimes. ?

Please see your: doctor and have your ears checked. There may be fluid behind your ear drum, which could explain why it's only hurting at night, when you're laying down. When you are upright, the fluid will be draining better. This may be from an infection or allergies.
