No: You need a ekg tracing to detect an abnormal rhythm - if you are having symptoms , please go see a physician immidiately.

It can be: During a heart attack the cardiac rhythm can be different -- but it may not be. Consequently, just listening to the heart is not a good way to detect a heart attack.
