Why does my ears and face flush?

Dr. Peter Lio answered

Nerves: Flushing often occurs with anxiety or stress, but some flush easily even without stress. The sympathetic nervous system causes the widening of blood vessels in the skin which makes the face and ears warm and red. Alcohol, certain foods, neurological problems, medications, and rosacea can all cause easy flushing. Rarely, certain tumors can cause flushing. There are some treatments for flushing.
