Numbness: Numbness in hands may be simply cutting off blood supply. Could also be carpal tunnel syndrome, and or pinched nerve at level of cervical spine. Really need to discuss with physician to arrive at diagnosis.

Carpal tunnel?: Hands that go numb or tingle in the middle of the night are often from carpal tunnel syndrome and less likely from cubital tunnel syndrome (ulnar nerve compression) at the elbow. If left untreated either may progress to permanent numbness and weakness.
