I started using fabric softer and it is giving me eczema flare ups on my face. how many times do i have to wash my sheets to get the softener out?

Probably twice.: Many folks are allergic to--or at least sensitive to--fabric softeners. My sense is a couple of washes (maybe double rinse each one) in a very mild detergent should do the trick.
