Bad bug: Unfortunately, a nonproductive cough and no fevers is usually not a bronchitis that can be treated with antibiotics. The headache and vertigo are also possibly just nuisance viral symptoms that need to be treated with otc analgesics, chicken soup, and bedrest. If you start blowing or coughing out green/yellow junk after 10 days, then it may be time for antibiotics.

Dry cough: Do u take any meds for blood pressure like Lisinopril (ace inhibitor)? Any history of asthma or copd? Do u smoke or are u exposed to cigarette smoke? Any history of acid reflux or heartburn? See fp for evaluation & treatment according to findings.
