Take more Synthroid (thyroxine): If you're following your tsh, i'm assuming that you have hypothyroidism on replacement therapy. The number is opposite: if you are not on enough synthroid, (thyroxine) the TSH is high. If you are on too much synthroid, (thyroxine) the TSH is low. Look at the normal range for tsh. If you feel sluggish, cold, fat, or constipated; you may need an increase in your dose (or you may need to start thyroid replacement!).

TSH interpretation: A TSH of 6 is indicative of underactive thyroid (hypothroid) & is treated by supplementing thyroid hormone until a normal level is achieved. Low number for TSH suggests overactive thyroid (hyperthyroid) & may require thyroid-suppressing drugs, surgery, or ablation with radioactive iodine. Doc will also check for enlarged thyroid (goiter), lumps/ masses, function.

Hypothyroid: You are hypothyroid, and may want to get more labs done. About 40% of hypothyroid people can have elevated thyroid antibodies as well. Check free T3 and reverse t3. Ft3 should be in upper range and rt3 in lower range. If your ratio is off, you may need Armour Thyroid or t3, and synthroid (thyroxine) would be the wrong med for you.
