Hi my throat is sore and i know its not a cold because i don't have a runny nose or anything else so what else can it be?

Likely virus: Its most likely a viral infection. Most sore throats are due to virus. If you feel you are worsening or your tonsils are big with white spots, you may need to be checked for strep throat. Try gargling with warm water and salt, increase or take some vitamin c, and rest. Sometimes viruses only attack the throat and not necessarily your ears or nose.
