Chromosomal test: Cvs is an invasive diagnostic test of a developing fetus during pregnancy. It uses a needle to biopsy placental tissue. This tissue can then be used to diagnose the chromosomes of the baby & tell if there is healthy chromosome number ("euploid") or abnormal number ("aneuploid)" like downs syndrome or other chromsomal issues.This can be done about 12 wks of pregnancy.
