Safe environment: Play therapy looks like regular play between a therapist and a child, but through play allows a therapist to see how a child sees the world, interacts with others, deals with adversity, and allows open dialogue on a host of topics. Over time, a play therapist can pick games and activities that shape attitudes, help with stress and issues, and pick up on more serious problems.
