Preventing<managing: Prevention of gestational diabetes (gdm) may be difficult. Many women are surprised when their glucose test comes back abnormal. But even if not foreseen or prevented, diabetes can be managed by many with proper diet and exercise. It is not always easy, but following the guidelines of managing gdm can lay the foundation for a lifetime of improved health, even if diabetes comes back later in life.
