You need stricter control to help prevent birth defects, macrosomia (large infant), birth or maternal injuries, fetal death, and maternal diabetes worsening; leading to renal problems (kidney failure), other organ damage, or other health issues...The good news is that all of these problems can be improved or avoided with proper care.
