Worsens it: Just as important, your diabetes can affect your pregnancy. You need stricter control to help prevent birth defects, macrosomia (large infant), birth or maternal injuries, fetal death, and maternal diabetes worsening; leading to renal problems (kidney failure), other organ damage, or other health issues...The good news is that all of these problems can be improved or avoided with proper care.
