Indigestion: Too much or too little stomach acid can lead to indigestion. If too much the excess acidity can directly lead to symptoms, however too little stomach acid can lead to decreased digestion of food, which then is digested further by bacteria in GI track which results in the production of gas which causes indigestion. Most people probably have too little acid not too much.
