my right index finger got instantly swallon, it was throbbing and the blue veins were sticking out really bad and now it's really numb, what is this?

Trauma: Not infrequent to rupture blood vessel with trauma ie hitting a volley ball. Generally self limited ice helps. If persistant need to see your doctor.
