No: It's not uncommon to have bloody bms after colon surgery but it usually goes away with several bowel movements (usually in a wk or so). U need to call ur surgeon.

No: Blood in stool should resolve within a week following a colon surgery. If blood persist, i advise that you have it addressed with your surgeon or gastroenterologist. A colonoscopy or rigid sigmoidoscopy might be needed. Hope this will answer your question and good luck.
