Angry outbursts are: Not a symptom of adhd, as it has no mood component. Are his adhd symptoms of inattention +/- hyperactivity/impulsivity well-controlled on medications? Is he in behavioral or social skills therapy? Is his environment structured @ home + a section 504 for classroom accomodations? Has he been evaluated for-learning disabilities, anxiety, depression/mood disorder &/or oppositional defiant disorder?

Sometimes: Adhd is often accompanied by low self esteem, anxiety, and moodiness. Evaluation for and treatment of these comorbid conditions can be quite helpful.
