My 7 year old boy is increasingly violent and destructive in his disrespect of me, should i have him examined for odd/adhd?

YES.: Violent & destructive behavior in a 7 year old is worrisome, especially since it may increase as he approaches adolescence. Whatever the cause, he needs to be evaluated. I suggest you take him first to his pediatrician to see if there is a medical reason for his behavior. S'he can then refer him to the appropriate specialist. I wish the best for both of you.

Affective dysregulat: Your child has a disorder of affective regulation. It can be very difficult to manage with conventional medications. Often the children end up on multiple meds. I have had extensive experience with Amantadine, a blocker of the brain chemical Glutamate. I have had extensive experience with this disorder and Amantadine. It is very effective with little side effects.

If a medical issue: is ruled out, meeting with a child psychologist is important. They will help assess what is wrong and help you learn how to manage his out of control behavior.
