Complicated question: Post traumatic stress disorder is a complicated - but treatable - condition that may benefit from multiple approaches. I hope you have found some helpful counseling to discuss the trauma you have experienced. Exercise is an excellent way to enhance your mood, take out aggressions in a productive way, and help you feel stronger and more in control of your life. Good luck in your efforts. Lgromko md.

A few exist.: Aggression is a wide area as is ptsd. The question always has to be understood in the context of a particular person, their impulses and their triggers. The methods range from medicine to psychological work. The medicine requires an evaluation by a psychiatrist knowledgeable in this area. The beginning of psychological work is to start developing a pause between the impulse and the action.

Methods: Accountability is a good starting point. I tell the combat veterans i work with that ptsd is not an excuse for violence. Cognitive processing therapy (variant of cbt) & psychotropic medications can be invaluable in addressing a red, hot amygdala. One can be trained to engage their frontal cortex in modulating their affect.
