A member asked:

Is eating light the same as eating soft foods?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Great question!: Eating light usually refer to eating foods that are low in calories, and usually low in fat content as well. Soft simply refers to the texture of a food, and are usually foods that are easy to chew and swallow. Examples of soft foods might be mac & cheese or ice cream - certainly not low in calories! lgromko md.
