Expensive: Adhd is not usually associated with structural brain problems. It wouldn't add any answers toward diagnosis or care.

Well you can: But i would add that the recent studies show that austism and adhd are best studied by a so called connectivity scan. A special MRI scan which shows connections in the brain. Not all facilites can do such a scan so i would say lets let the medical profession wait a little and do more studies but i would say that MRI is very promising as the only way to image the brain. Ct is fairly useless.

Waste of money: This has been studied. It does not help diagnose or treat the ADHD patient. Why do any test unless it can or does produce benefits. In time we will sort out the issues and come up with better diagnostic tools, but this has not been one for the ADD/ADHD crowd. It has certainly helped in other areas of medicine.
