A member asked:

If you had a very small hole in stomach and gas leaked through it into the peritoneal cavity, could the smell of the gas escape thru pores in the skin?

No: No, but one can end up in the E.R. With a distended abdomen, peritoneal infection, and tummy pain.

No: It's a life threatening emergency to have a hole in ur stomach/bowel. It causes peritonitis and needs to be dealt with asap. The air that leaks can not penetrate all the layers of abdominal wall to escape through pores.
