Ear wax: Most likely cause is earwax impacting the ear canal, likely from overuse of qtips. Debrox otc or peroxide drops to the ear to loosen the wax and then using a sod bulb syringe with warm water should work to clear the ear. Other less likely cause could be an jnfection.

Ear discharge: This can indicate either blockage of the ear canal with wax (yes it can sometimes be liquid), or sometimes chronic ear infection that may not cause significant pain or other associated symptoms. In either condition, sound being transmitted to the eardrum will be blocked and can sometimes sound muffled. Your primary physician should be able to determine the cause. www.mainlineent.com.
