It's a dye: The active ingredient, phenazopyridine, is a chemical dye - it has a local pain relieving effect on the bladder. You need to get prescription antibiotics to treat a uti, the Phenazopyridine is only to reduce pain.

Yes: Contains Phenazopyridine which is like an orange dye and thus turns urine orange. This is perfectly normal.
