Several possibilitie: Positive smith and rnp antibodies indicate a propensity for systemic lupus. You have the disease, not on the basis of these tests, but if you have features of the illness. A positive rheumatoid factor does not itself indicate rheumatoid arthritis, since it can be positive in many autoimmune dsiseases. You should have a ccp antibody checked, as well as a C2 and C4 level.
