Yes indeed!: Congratulations on discovering that a false-positive syphilis test can warn of lupus. However, if you have no other symptoms, you probably don't have lupus but were just unlucky. I would be concerned only if you sense that you are systemically ill -- lupus patients know before being diagnosed that something's seriously wrong. Good luck.

Need further test: False positive RPR may suggest antibodies in the blood that is cross reacting with RPR test reagent. Common antibodies are antiphospholipid antibodies that gives false positive RPR. Lupus is diagnosed based on signs and symptoms PLUS presence of ANA antibodies in the blood. You can ask your MD to check for these antibodies by blood tests.
