Something else?: If you are 33 and have hip pain, it is probably not arthritic. You more likely will have a problem like a muscle strain, bursitis or a labral injury. While at 33 you can get arthritis, it is more likely to have a soft tissue problem which can be treated more easily with meds, therapy, or rest.

Hip pain: It may be, but also consider femoral acetabular impingement, strain, sprain, hernia, referred spinal or pelvic pain.
