A member asked:

What is this constant sharp pain in my uterus with heavy bleeding and cramping?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Uterine contractions: Whenever you have a period you produce prostaglandins which gives you uterine contractions. Passing clots also forces your cervix open and therefore more pain. Ibuprofen, alleve, taken before the period begins and during bleeding could help. If nothing works, see your doctor.
