No: More likely a viral infection - coxsackie viruse causes herpangina with fever and ulcers on the soft palate and throat.
Dr. Thomas Klein

Unlikely: Throat ulcers are more commonly due to viruses or reflux. Mold would cause swelling and mucus congestion if one is allergic to mold.

Yes if not improved: If you are still hurting without any real improvement or if it is feeling worse, then a MRI would be indicated unless the pain is mild and not affecting your life.

What are good ways relieve throat pain?

Lots of ways: Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Ibuprofen mostly. Gargling with warm salt water, one fourth tsp salt per 8 ounces. Chloraseptic spray, Benzocaine throat losenges. If more severe pain may have an infection, go see a doctor. For bad viral pharyngitis we sometimes use steroids, and for strep you need an antibiotic.

Situational symptoms: When your symptoms are so situational (distress occurs when you are in a particular place or circumstance but rarely occur other times) then stress must be entertained as a possibility (like fear of heights, ladders, flying, etc.) phobias are readily treatable, once you've ruled out medical problems that can prompt identical symptoms. See your doctor as to how to go about addressing this issue.
