A member asked:

How soon can you fly on a 1.5 hr flight after evlt? what are the risks?

Blood clots.: The most significant risk is formation of blood clots in the treated vein(s) which can travel to the lungs or brain, with serious consequences. Although the risk of blood clots is small with "keyhole" techniques such as evlt (endovenous laser therapy), most practitioners do not advise patients to travel by air within 6 weeks of the procedure.
