Yes: You need at least 400 micrograms of Folic Acid a day up until 10 weeks when the spine has finished developing. Continuing the Folic Acid will help keep your blood count up though. You need extra iron as the baby will deplete you of your iron stores. An adult multivitamin is more than sufficient. Plus a diet rich in unprocessed fruits, vegetables and fish is the best way to get your nutrition.
