Allergy: Ige is an antibody that when increased overalt is consistant with an allergy. It does not tell you what you are allergic to and it is not directly cconnected to the poison ivy most likely.

Not much: This means that you probably have seasonal or all year allergies or hay fever. But it has no bearing on your treatment for poison ivy. If anything, the Prednisone might temporarily reduce your ige value, but this is inconsequential.
