Can starvation cause the body to go into fainting attacks?

Yep: The body's ability to regulate its blood pressure to the brain is greatly impaired by starvation, primarily by limitations of the amount of blood circulating around the heart (what we cardiologists call preload). In advanced starvation, the neural mechanisms regulating these matters are also impaired. Try not to ever let yourself (or your fellow man) get to that point, ok? :).
Created for people with ongoing healthcare needs but benefits everyone.
