Get evaluated: If you have an isolated joint flare, get an evaluation. Many things can cause a flare, these can include but not limited to, rheumatoid flare, infection, or gout. Getting an evaluation will allow you to get the correct diagnosis and treatment.

See the doctor: This can be a sign of the tenosynovitis or synovitis of ra. However, you probably know what that feels like, and this is different. Primary concern is that this not be infection. This warrants checking with the doctor who takes care of your ra.
