Maybe not: Some people eat less and lose weight when stressed. However, many people eat or snack when under stress, so more stress can lead to more calories eaten. When people try to stay up to study or do work, they often eat or drink to keep themselves stimulated and alert . . . Leading to more calories and weight gain. "de-stressing" by staying up watching tv and eating popcorn also adds calories!
