Eat What you Like: 1. Never drink sodas/beer; 2. Make sugars rare (once a week); 3 limit carbs to 1cup per meal (bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, corn, peas, beans); 4. Fruits 1/2 cup serving 2 times per day; 5. Meat size of you hand per day; 6. Vegetables all you can eat. Notice you can eat what your use to with limits. Sugars once a week mean that you will enjoy with great expectation = greater joy.

Dieting: Please seek the guidance of your doctor or a nutritionist. Ask about the Ketogenic diet, which burns fat for fuel rather than sugar. So, good fat such as coconut oil, olive oil, avacado, etc. and low on the junk carbs can be effective. Slow and steady is the way to go. Your health and well being are more important than the number on the scale or what you think others think. Peace&good health.
