Yes: Don't 'diet'. Choose healthy foods that you enjoy, exclude all high calorie no-no's, plan a 'style' of eating that works for you, at times, locations, with people such that every meals becomes a break: to savor. Drink a lot of water. Chew well (digestion starts in the mouth). Stay active mentally and physically. Smile while your eating, separate emotions from intake. Learn to 'let go'.
