Many!: Physical fitness (and the activity level needed to achieve or maintain physical fitness) provides many mental health benefits. In addition to improved self-esteem and improved confidence, physical fitness and exercise also provides increased adrenaline and endorphin secretion, two very important hormones that help with the overall feeling of well-being and wellness.

Endorphin Release: Vigorous movement of major muscle groups improve blood flow and oxygen delivery to all organs and tissues, make the heart stronger and more efficient, and improve endurance. An added benefit is endorphin release which creates feelings of happiness and overall well being. The body, through its senses, literally metabolizes experience. So, chemicals are created that result in positive feelings.

Serenity: When your body is well tuned from exercise there is a feeling of peacefulnes that comes from within. The exercise itself provides improved circulation, more blood and oxygen to a all areas, improved motion and possibly flexibility, and release of toxins from your system. Your cardiovascular system becomes more enhanced and efficient. All these result in a better "machine". Your mind and body relax.
