What can i expect in follow-up after a varicocele embolization?

Some swelling: Typicall there will be some swelling after the surgery and some pain from the surgery. This will disappear over the next few weeks.

Thrombosis: Some discomfort, swelling followed by reduced size of varicocele.

If..., then...: If done for pain, i will check patient in 6 months after the first postop visit in 5-10 days, so to check if his vricocele-related improves or disappears or not, in correlating the shrink of varicocele. If for male infertility, after immediate postop visit(s), i will repeat semen analysis in 3-4 months so to see and compare it with that before procedure, and of course, to examine if the varicocele.
