A member asked:

How often are you supposed to get your eyes checked?

Yearly, if healthy: Eyes change throughout life due to continued growth of the lens. This causes the power to change and may necessitate new lens prescriptions. Intraocular pressure should be checked as well since elevations may cause loss of nerve sensitivity, resulting in glaucoma, which is generally painless and may be missed until severe irreversible visual loss has occurred.
