Carpal tunnel: A likely cause is carpal tunnel syndrome which is common in the workplace. You may notice also numbness and tingling in the arm, symptoms at night or when driving, these generally being present in more chronic or severe forms. The use of an ergonomic keyboard may be of benefit as well as wrist splinting.
