Can be infection?: If this lump is tender to touch/pressure, then it is likely due to an infection in the skin(hair follicle). But if it is painless, then watch it for a couple of weeks to see if it subsides or is growing in size. If it is growing and it is painless, then you need to go see your doctor for an examination.
