Depends?: The recommended limit on use of Acetaminophen for adults if 4 grams a day. If you have liver disease, it is much less if any at all. Drinking alcohol would preclude these doses. "tylenol" is metabolized in the liver and anything affecting the liver is to be considered seriously. Consider alternatives such as ibuprofen. If in doubt, discuss with your pcp or with your pharmacist. Be careful!

According to Epocrates, a drug information program, most healthy adults can get up to about 1,000 mg in 4 hrs, and 4,000 mg (4 grams) per day safely. Children should get less, based on their age or weight. Read labels carefully, and ask your doctor or nurse if unsure.
