A member asked:

How can i handle problems with both weight and alcohol?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Drink fewer calories: Not only are alcoholics drinking a lot of toxic-to-the-liver alcohol every day, they are getting tons of calories too. To avoid obesity, a person must add his alcohol calories to his food calories, to see when he hits his daily maximum allowed calories (then he shouldn't eat or drink any more calories until the next day). (3 oz of vodka= about 200 calories; 12 oz beer= 150 cal; 6 oz wine= 170 cal).
