A member asked:

How are social skills affected by being disabled?

4 doctors weighed in across 2 answers

Multiple: Disabled cannot socialize as well as the healthy can because of the limitation they experience. Some may not be able to go places they want due to mobility issues. Others have troubles expressing themselves (speaking, mimicking) and therefore cannot maintain conversations etc. Although, there may be no open stigmatization of the disabled, the hidden one still persists frequently.

Not necessarily : Not necessarily. It’s depends on the type of disability, the impairment, the medical as well as the emotional status this is more important on who individual is than anything else
