Yes: There is evidence that athletes with a history of a concussion are more likely to sustain another concussion. This is particularly concerning as the cumulative effects can be very serious.

Some are more prone: Current thinking (which is continuing to evolve as we do more research) indicates that some people are more susceptible to concussions than others. So if you have had a lot, you may be more prone to concussions. We do know that being younger (children), having adhd and/or a learning disability make your more susceptible to a concussion, and that it may last longer.
