Matter of time: Low iron saturations could indicate the beginning of iron deficiency. However, the body stores quite a bit of iron in the form of ferritin, and it's not until the stores become depleted that the bone marrow starts to become unable to produce red blood cells like it's supposed to.

At the edge: Agree with Dr. B. You may be at the edge of becoming anemic. The pressure of a propane tank reads normal pressure with even one drop of gas in it and then it drops like a rock. Same applies to iron and hemoglobin. Take supplemental iron and multivitamins. Have a healthy diet, exercise, drink plenty of water, have safe sex, if you do, and get HPV vaccine. Wish you good health!
