Forgive my frankness: Your questions is so puzzling that it makes me concerned that you are a victim of a cruel prank. You're obviously distraught, and you are afraid something terrible will happen (i.e., you'll die) if you give in to sleepiness. Just who told you that you have liver failure? If you really did, you'd be in the hospital flapping like a fish. Get a grip on yourself and talk with a competent physician.

Liver failure: I'm not sure whether you actually have liver failure, as there are different degrees of this ranging from liver enzyme changes and jaundice, to mental status changes ; flapping tremor (asterixis) http://tinyurl.Com/kt2gfld all the way to coma. If you have liver changes, you need treatment -- but yes, you can still go to sleep. We all need sleep, with or without liver issues.
