How can i handle alcoholism during the holiday season?

Many ways: 1) ask your host not to serve it at the gathering. 2) have a non-alcoholic drink in your hand already. 3) go with your spouse or friend and have them watch over you. 4) tell other attendees that you are not indulging in alcohol. 5) throw your own alcohol-free party. 6) don't go because not drinking is the gift you have already given yourself.

Plan: Plan to not drink, plan ahead. Do not allow yourself to have a single drop of alcohol. Imagine yourself going home after a party sober and in complete control. Imagine how proud you will be of yourself. Then, imagine how disappointed and humilated you will feel after having made a drunken fool of yourself. Think about ir. It's called consequencial thinking.
