A member asked:

Will i need physical therapy after a diskectomy? how do i regain my range of movement after a diskectomy? will i need to go to physical therapy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Physical therapy : In general, physical therapy helps return strength and mobility after a discectomy. This includes both cervical and lumbar discectomies. Each case is different, and of course the final decision is between you and your surgeon. However, I have found in most instances that pt is useful after discectomies, especially lumbar discectomies.
