Common!: This is a common side effect of all opioid meds. Methadone seems to be worse in this regard for some patients. Unfortunately, this side effect does not seem to get much better with time. Methadone is considerably cheaper than the other opioids, however, there are major issues that you need to be aware of with dosage changes so don't increase you dose without consulting your doctor first.
